US and Uganda

The US is a very strong and powerful country that has the ability to help other countries and people in need and  I think that we should be doing everything we can to help instead of completely ignoring their issues. For instance, in Uganda. They are having one of the worst and longest running wars in Africa. And what is the US government really doing to help end this war? Nothing.  We have the ability to go in and help this country and these people and instead we choose to not even barely mention it in the news. And  I think instead we should be trying to raise awareness on this issue especially when it involves the future. These kids that are being brain washed to kill their own people at such a young age deserve to live their lives without having to worry about being kidnapped in the middle of the night. I understand that this is not our country and maybe we don't have the right to go into this country and start making decisions, but if we are the only people that can go in their and make a difference in the lives of these people and these innocent kids, I think its necessary.

  1. I agree that Uganda is a very serious issue! But the thing is, the U.S. is also helping so many other countries and isn't doing so well itself. I think your involvement and interest in organizations like the Invisible Children is what is going to help bad crisis outside the U.S.

How much you care is inspirational :)!
